Dilip Kumar, known as the tragic king of Indian cinema for his brilliant performance, was born as Mohammad Yusuf Khan, who has acted in over 65 films in his epic career. Kumar starred with Jwar Bhata in 1944. Three years later, the first big hit for Kumar was the 1947 drama Jugnu opposite Noor Jehan. He is a Dog (1954), Devdas (1955), Azad (1956), Naya Daur (1957), Mughal-e-Azam (1960), Ganga Jamuna (1961), Ram ur Shyam (1967), Dastan (1972), Kranti (1981), and Karma (1986). He last appeared in Kila in 1998.
