Mumbai Siddhivinayak Temple Live Aarti: The ten-day festival dedicated to Lord Ganesha began with religious fervor on August 31. Ganeshotsavam holds a lot of religious significance and devotees from all over want to witness the Siddhivinayak Temple celebrations on this occasion. However, people who cannot witness the festival live this year can watch online coverage of the puja from the temple. This year, the Vinayaka Chaturthi celebrations began on Tuesday, August 31, while Ganesh Viskarman falls on September 9, according to the Hindu calendar.
Here’s a step-by-step guide on how you can do it. The only Ganapati idol in the temple is placed on the right side, providing live streaming on its official website where people can stream live the rituals taking place.

The temple authorities have also given the coverage rights to a mobile application called Sri Siddhivinayak Ganapati Temple. It is a free app that can be used on iOS, Android and iPad. Below are the links to download it:

Aarti times when you can be a part of the sacred ritual are:
Wednesday to Monday:
- Kakad Aarti – 5.30 am to 6.00 am
- Evening Aarti -– 7.30 pm to 8.00 pm
- Shejarthi – Last Aarti of the day: 9.50 pm (Temple doors are closed after Shejarthi)
- After the ‘Shejarthi’ the temple is completely closed till the next morning.
Tuesday:
- Kakad Aarti – 5.00 am to 5.30 am
- Night Aarti – 9.30 pm to 10.00 pm
- Shejarti – Last Aarti of the day: 12 AM (Temple doors are closed after Shejarti)
The temple is famous for the Ganapati idol here carved out of a single black stone. This year Ganesh Chaturthi falls on 31st August.
