Chris Hemsworth’s film, Thor: Love and Thunder, was released worldwide on July 7. Directed by Oscar winner Taika Waititi, it opened to great numbers at the ticket window. The film stars Chris Hemsworth, Christian Bale, Natalie Portman and Tessa Thompson in lead roles. However, its numbers seem to be dwindling now. After a weekend at the box office, Monday and Tuesday, July 11 and 12 recorded a bigger than usual drop.

Thor: Love and Thunder got off to a great start on Day 1. After collecting Rs 64.80 crore over the weekend, the film took a major dip on Tuesday, according to reports. Only 4.50 crores were collected in 6 days. So, the total in six days is Rs 74.80 crore.
Thor: Love and Thunder, despite being a non-holiday release, registered around 40-45 percent occupancy on its opening day. It collected Rs 24 crores at the worldwide box office on its first day of release. It is the fifth-biggest opening day for any Hollywood film in India. Interestingly, its opening day almost did Thor: Ragnarok’s opening weekend. In fact, audiences for Marvel films have more than doubled in less than five years. Thor: Love and Thunder is part of Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
