A girl has complained that she was gang-raped at a rehabilitation center in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand. After the girl was allegedly raped, the police registered a case and are investigating.
According to the police, the victim met someone through a Delhi-based woman who runs a rehabilitation center in Rishikesh.
“A few days later, the girl was given soft drinks laced with anesthetic and raped by two men. When she regained consciousness, she was threatened with obscene videos and photographs. The girl was sent out of town and raped. Several times,” police said.
Frustrated by the sexual harassment, the girl has written a letter to the top police officer asking him to arrest the accused.
Kotwali Station House Officer Ravi Saini said that the police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.
