Hollywood veteran Sylvester Stallone’s upcoming action movie Samaritan It will premiere on streaming service Prime Video on August 26.

“Thirteen-year-old Sam Cleary (Walton) suspects that his mysterious and reclusive neighbor Mr. Smith (Stallone) is actually a legend hiding in plain sight. Twenty years ago, Granite City’s super-powered vigilante, Samaritan, was reported dead after a fiery warehouse battle with his rival, Nemesis.

“Many believe the Samaritan died in the fire, but some in the city believe that someone like Sam is still alive. With crime on the rise and the city on the brink of chaos, Sam makes it his mission to save his neighbors. Go into hiding to save the city from destruction,” reads the official plotline.

Stallone, known for headline action franchises like Rocky, Rambo and The Expendables, said he was thrilled to see his latest film released on Prime Video.

“I love action films with heart. I wanted to get involved with ‘Samaritan’ because there are so many layers to the story that I think people can relate to. It’s a very exciting moral story to watch,” the actor said in a statement.

Samaritan Bragi F. Schutt has the screenplay and Stallone and Braden Aftergood produced.
