When the newly laid greens, short course and narrow fairways at the Cosmo-TNGF course here pose a major challenge to golfers, Impiger Technologies-Chennai Open PGTI Golf Championship Begins August 23 (Tuesday).
The four-day event will feature all the country’s top golfers including Khalin Joshi, Karandeep Kochhar, Manu Gandas, Aman Raj, Shamim Khan and others who won the previous leg in Coimbatore last week.
The players are excited
“The players are excited. We will see a huge transformation in the course. Hopefully, we will see some good scores,” PGTI CEO Uttam Singh Mundy said at a press conference here on Monday.
TNGF Joint Secretary RK Javer said: “The course is short with narrow fairways, but [will be] challenge Don’t expect too many sub-par scores.
