A couple from Punjab was arrested on Friday September 2 with 7 kg of heroin in Jammu and Kashmir’s Utampur district, a police official said.
Lovepreet Singh and his wife Mandeep Kaur were traveling in a separate car when the police stopped them, police said.

According to the police, the accused from Ram Tirtha Road in Amritsar, Punjab are inter-state drug smugglers. A case has been registered against them under relevant provisions of law.
