Karan Johar is all set to announce his next directing project. After supporting multiple projects under Dharma Productions and Dharma 2.0 and starting Dharma Cornerstone Agency, he is back in the director’s chair. The filmmaker will make an official announcement about his next film on Tuesday, July 6th.
On Monday, Karan announced at his social media handle that he was ready to launch his next directorial venture and would announce it at 11 a.m. on Tuesday. In the heartfelt video, it takes us through his directing journey, with Karan talking about returning to the director’s chair. “It’s the beginning of a new journey & the way back home – all at once. It’s time to go back to my favorite place, to create some lasting love stories from behind the lens. A very unique story, truly sunk love and family origins,” he wrote along with the video.
Bollywood has previously reported that Karan’s next film Prem Kahani will star Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles.
Karan Johar has directed Blockbuster films like Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, My Name Is Khan, Student of the Year. His last film was A Dil Hai Mushkil which was released in 2016. He also directed a section on Netflix Anthology Ghost Stories, which was released in 2019.
