Jeswin wins gold – The Hindu

After failing to clear 8 meters in his last five meets, long jumper Jeswin Aldrin cleared the landmark by clearing 8.12 meters to win the Golden Fly Series Athletics meet in Liechtenstein on Sunday.

This is the first time the 20-year-old Federation Cup champion (wind-assisted 8.37m) has cleared 8m in a competition outside India.

In long jump, triple jumper Praveen Chitravel finished fourth with 7.58 meters.
