JMI resumed physical classes in March for final year postgraduate and final year undergraduate students. First and second year undergraduate students and first year post-graduate students attend classes online.

The Jamia Millia Islamia campus is reopening from July 16 to all students except freshers joining the first semester of undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The Vice-Chancellor asked the heads of all departments to make necessary arrangements for the return of the students and report back. At the next meeting. The campus will reopen amid strict Covid-19 precautions.

Classes will start on August 1 for students joining Jamia in the first semester. The induction program will start on August 2 and end on August 3. The exams will be held from December 1 to 15, with the winter vacation scheduled to begin from December 23 to January 1. Even semesters will start from January 2, the institute said in an official notice.

“On the recommendation of the Dean of Faculties, the Vice-Chancellor, JMI (Nazma Akhtar), has approved the re-opening of the university in offline mode from July 16, 2022, for all classes except 1st semester/year,” the notification read. Physical classes have resumed.First and second year undergraduate students and first year post-graduate students are attending classes online.

Physics classes for final year post-graduate students resumed on March 2, while physics classes for final year undergraduate students resumed in mid-March. Three dry canteens were also opened in the university on March 2 with the permission of the registrar.
