“The English,” a western drama series starring Emily Blunt and Chaske Spencer, will begin streaming on Prime Video on November 11.

According to a press release issued by the streaming platform, all six episodes of the limited series will be released together.

“The English” will have its world premiere at the BFI London Film Festival as a special screening of their series on October 15.

The series is a co-production with Amazon Studios and the BBC in association with All3Media International.

Billed as an “epic chase western,” the show comes from writer and director Hugo Blick.

The series takes the central themes of identity and revenge to tell a particularly compelling allegory on race, power and love.

“An aristocratic Englishwoman, Lady Cornelia Locke (Blunt), and a pony ex-cavalry scout, Eli Whipp (Spencer), come together in mid-1890s America to cross a violent landscape built on dreams and blood. They both have a clear understanding of their destiny, but it Little does anyone know that the partnership is rooted in the past,” reads the plotline.

The series’ ensemble cast includes Rafe Spall, Tom Hughes, Toby Jones and Ciaran Hinds.

“The English” is produced by Drama Republic Limited and Eight Rooks Limited.

Blunt also serves as an executive producer alongside Greg Brenneman for Drama Republic. Colin Wrotten is attached as a producer.
