Fugitive mobster Dawood Ibrahim’s brother Iqbal Kaskar is set to undergo a heart surgery soon. He was admitted to Mumbai’s JJ Hospital on Friday morning for surgery.
Iqbal has been in jail since 2017 under the Maharashtra Control of Organized Crime Act.
Earlier, Iqbal told the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCP) about his brother’s whereabouts and admitted that Dawood and his accomplices Chota Shakeel and Anees Ibrahim were living in Pakistan.

Who is Dawood Ibrahim?
Dawood Ibrahim is a wanted terrorist from Mumbai and has been declared a global terrorist by the United Nations. Several cases have been registered against him by various national agencies, including a money laundering case and an arms smuggling case.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) announced on Thursday that a cash reward of Rs 25 lakh will be given to Ibrahim and various reward amounts to his accomplices.
The investigation relates to Ibrahim’s gang – ‘T’ for setting up a unit in India to smuggle arms, explosives, narcotics and fake Indian currency notes (FICN) and carry out terror attacks in close association with Pakistani agencies and terror outfits. .
