Dabang Delhi beat U Mumba in Pro Kabaddi League season opener

Captain Naveen Kumar scored 13 points as Dabang Delhi KC beat U Mumba 41-27 in the Pro Kabaddi League Season 9 opener at the Sri Kanthirava Indoor Stadium on Friday.

Delhi gained momentum as Naveen fired off some brilliant rides. He was superbly supported by defenders Vishal and Sandeep Dhul as Delhi went ‘all out’ and took a massive 11-9 lead in the 9th minute.

Naveen continued to step on the pedal and increased Delhi’s lead to 14-5. The Krishan-led Dabang Delhi KC defense unit continued to counter the U Mumba Raiders as Delhi led 19-10 at half-time.

U Mumba showed a little more urgency in the second half with Ashish picking up some crucial raid points and Kiran Magar pulling off some brilliant tackles, but Naveen Xpress put Delhi ahead 28-20 in the 31st over. minute

With just three U Mumba members, Naveen effected a multi-point ride and recorded his first super 10 of the season. Moments later, Delhi went for another all-out to take a comfortable 33-21 lead.
