How would you define your love for couture?

Tradition, space for constant development and our favorite creative playground, adorns us.

Couture in India celebrates craftsmanship and the designer’s approach to fashion, what will your latest couture collection bring to India Couture Week?

Couture in India is primarily about bridal culture, and we also enjoy creating our designs for brides entering a new phase in their lives. The cuts are traditional yet serve as the perfect brew for today’s bride. Blouses cut with sheer, feather and ruffle details are paired with chrome applique and crystal work embedded in structured lehengas. As the modern Indian bride embarks on a new journey of her life with a fresh perspective, the story behind the line identifies with the ideology of embarking on a new adventure with faith and determination.

With a blend of Indian and French aesthetics in the collection, it is signed as a Falguni Shane Peacock (FSP) creation?

Love Forever is influenced by the great French textiles and artworks from the Renaissance period. The designs in the collection take inspiration from Art Nouveau and marry elements of Indian architectural aspects such as minarets, archways and domes that begin to unfold the story of the dimension of French architecture.

It celebrates the land that is home to countless works of art and the likes of some of the most famous masters in the history of modern art and design – Chagall, Picasso, Braque, Le Corbusier and FSP with a touch and signature.

Your creations always have a futuristic approach, does this collection have a glimpse of that?

Yes, our core design philosophy is to combine edgy, intricately detailed contemporary cuts and Indian embellishments and present them with a signature FSP touch that is futuristic. Each ensemble is distinctive and delicate in its own way yet bound by a common thread of international appeal.

What is in store for the modern Indian bride this wedding season?

Innovation and creative passion come to life in terms of method and rooted locally in terms of approach in this collection. One of the highlight accents introduced are embellished face veils for brides. Intricate embellishment redefines the meaning of veils in this lovely collection.
