Comicstaan Season 3 is Back with Re-imagined Format; Zakir Khan, Sumukhi Suresh Among Judges

ComicStan, the rib-tickling comedy talent hunt show, is back with Season 3. Amazon Prime Video today announced a third season with a revitalized format — eight contestants will be guided by seven mentors in a variety of comedies.

Produced by Only Much Louder (OML) and hosted by Abish Mathew and Kusha Kapila, ComicStan Season 3 will be judged by Zakir Khan, Sumukhi Suresh, Neeti Palta and Kenny Sebastian. The contestants will be mentored by Rahul Subramanian, Sapan Varma, Rohan Joshi, Prashasti Singh, Kannan Gill, Aadhaar Malik and Anu Menon. Featuring eight contestants, seven mentors, four judges and two hosts, the eight-episode original series will air exclusively on Prime Video India and from July 15 in 240 countries and territories.

“The first two seasons of ComicStan have garnered immense appreciation and love from the audience. The show has not only been a winner but a host of fresh and emerging voices in comedy in India. In fact, it has made stand-up comedy aspirational! Bringing this much-loved franchise to our audience in a new, re-imagined avatar. We are excited to bring back. The new season promises to take audiences on a wild ride as we discover and nurture the next generation of stand-up comedians,” said Aparna Purohit, Head of Originals, India, Amazon Prime Video India.

“The overwhelming response to Seasons 1 and 2 has motivated us to go a mile ahead with the upcoming season of ComicStan,” said Rachita Arya, Senior Vice President, OTT Content, Only Much Louder (OML). “In Season 3, we are bringing in an exciting brigade of new stand-up comedians, two hosts, four judges and seven mentors who will guide the contestants on different genres of comedy in each episode. Just like the previous seasons, we are confident that audiences across the globe will laugh their hearts out this time too. Looking forward to the global premiere on July 15.
