The MRF 2W Rally in Coimbatore, the third round of the FMSCI Indian National Rally Championship (INRC) will be held on July 17 at Ketanur Windmill Farm near Palladam.
It was only six months ago that the country’s top riders unleashed their ferocity on this stage. And, they are back to conquer a territory that is said to be a huge challenge even for the best.
Promoted by Godspeed (Pune) and organized by the Coimbatore Auto Sports Club (CASC), the one-day show will see a mix of dirt and gravel stages.
The total distance of the route is 80.22 km and the distance of special stages is 67 km. Unlike last year, this time there will be two special stages namely Black Thunder (19.65 km) and Thunder World (14.75 km). It is run twice in the same direction.

Meanwhile, CASC is pleased to have attracted a record number of entries for the championship. “We got an amazing response, 102 to be exact,” said CASC Secretary J. Prithviraj.
A wide range of imported and domestic motorcycles will be on display at the event which starts from the service park at 9 am on Sunday and ends at 2 pm.
Documentation, scrutiny and rider briefing will be held at Sennammal Kovil Mandapam in Ketanur on Saturday.
