Cardemi Karman works on fitness

Karman Kaur Thandi, one of the best female tennis players in the country, works with renowned fitness coach Gerald Cordemi at the Roundglass Academy in Chandigarh.

The 24-year-old Karman, ranked 387, recently won one of two $25,000 ITF women’s tournaments in Gurugram.

After the second tournament, Karman returned to his base at the Roundglass Academy to work with longtime coach Aditya Sachdeva and was joined by Kordemy.

Cordemi has worked with top players such as Serena Williams, David Goffin, Jeremy Chardy and Alexei Papirin. He has worked at the Qatar Tennis Federation and the Mouratglou Academy, among others.

Eye to eye

“I am very happy to come to Roundglass Academy and share my experience with the team. Aditya Sachdeva is one of the best tennis coaches I have ever met. We are on the same page on how to help Karman reach her full potential and break into the top tier of the WTA circuit,” Kordemy said.

Academy Technical Director, Coach Aditya Sachdeva said: “Having a highly experienced and world-class fitness coach like Gerald Train Karman will have a huge impact on her development. She is excited to be working closely with young children as our mission is to take their game to the next level and inspire them to participate in sports as part of their holistic well-being.

Cordemi is in Chandigarh for a week and will stay for another two weeks.
