Alia Bhatt cheers Ranbir’s Shamshera, calling it ‘Kapoor day’

Ranbir Kapoor fans are in high spirits as the actor returns to the big screen with Shamshera. After a gap of three years, Ranbir Kapoor will be seen in a completely new avatar. As the first reviews of the film are out, now wife Alia Bhatt shared a special post for Ranbir and urged fans to watch the masala entertainer in its entirety.

Alia Bhatt shared a new makeup-free selfie and called July 22 ‘Kapoor Day’. In the photo, Alia is seen wearing a t-shirt with ‘Kapoor’ written on it. Sharing the picture, Alia wrote, “It’s Kapoor day! Shamshera is in theaters now!!!! Go watch it (sic).”

Shamshera released today on July 22. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor, Vaani Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt in lead roles. Ranbir Kapoor starrer Shamshera is produced by Yash Raj Films. It is said to be set in the fictional city of Gaza, where a warrior tribe is imprisoned, enslaved and tortured by the ruthless dictator General Shut Singh. In Shamshera, Ranbir Kapoor plays a larger-than-life Hindi film hero for the first time in his career.
