Akshay Kumar, who was last seen in Samrat Prithviraj, has kept himself very busy with an interesting line-up of projects. Some of these are Anand L Roy’s Raksha Bandhan, Abhishek Sharma’s Ramasethu, Amit Roy’s Oh My God 2 (OMG 2), and Raj Mehta’s Selfie. However, Akshay has already completed shooting for most of these projects and is all set to take up new interesting ones. According to a recent Pinkvilla report, the actor will team up with Stree producer Dinesh Vijan for his next production. This project is based on Indian Air Force.
Akshay Kumar has certainly mastered the art of juggling multiple projects at once. Now the actor is all set to expand his repertoire with another film in IAF. Reportedly, the film will be set against some real-life incidents and promises an action-oriented thriller drama. When it was revealed that Akshay will be playing an IAF officer in the film, Pinkvilla quoted a source as saying, “The paperwork is done and the two are now working on blocking the shoot dates. It is likely to go on floors in the first quarter of 2023.
Revealing that the rest of the cast of the team will be finalized in the next two months, he said, “This is an aviation-based film that, during this period, revisits and celebrates one of the greatest achievements of the Indian Air Force. The pre-production work has already started,” he said. Aiming for an early release in 2024, the film will go on the sets early next year, with an announcement reportedly around the corner. Further, the report states that the team is currently mulling over various titles for the film that would do justice to the plot and subject matter.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Akshay is expected to wrap Bade Miyan and Chote Miyan 2 and Gurkha before starting work on the yet-to-be-titled Madhak production project. Bade Miyan and Chhote Miyan 2 also features Tiger Shroff in the lead role and is expected to release around Christmas in 2023.
