Ajmer cleric’s father who made provocative comments, video taken from context

After Ajmer Dargah Qadim Adil Sisti’s video of him making provocative statements went viral, his father Sarwar Sisti said Adil’s video was taken out of context.

“My son’s video was taken out of context. We have nothing to do with Gauhar Chishti. What he said is highly reprehensible,” Sarwar Chishti told India Today.

Earlier, clerics Gauhar Sisthi and Sarwar Sisthi raised slogans that Nubur Sharma had insulted the Prophet. Gauhar Chishti has been absconding ever since the video went viral.

Meanwhile, provocative statements by clerics against suspended BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma have hit the pilgrims’ inflow in Ajmer, affecting the business of local vendors and hotels near the Sufi shrine. Controversial videos and statements by clerics have even affected Eid business.

It is to be noted that so far, three Khadims of Dargah have made inflammatory statements against Nupur Sharma.
